Personal Reflection/Study Questions:

– Support your answers with Scripture

1. When Jesus said, “it is finished” (John 19:30) on Friday, what work had he completed? How was only he able to accomplish it?

2. In light of the work being completed on Friday, what does the resurrection on Sunday mean?

Discussion Questions:

1. What about this Easter weekend stood out to you that may have not stood out in the past?

2. Tell about a time when you have experienced what C.S. Lewis called, “the inconsolable longing in the heart for we know not what.”

3. Read 1 Peter 1:18 and Romans 7:15. What struggle do we have with the seeming tension of these two verses?

4. What does it mean to us that we have not just been saved from the penalty of our sins, but we have been saved “so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21)?

5. In light of the resurrection of Jesus, how should we think about our present and future circumstances?

6. If the Good News of Jesus Christ is true, what does that mean for our daily lives?
