Discussion Questions:

1. Think about your experience with the local church. What about it has been most attractive and/or discouraging to you? Why? (Leaders be prepared to respond with help for issues that have resulted in consumerism and a ‘church exists for me’ mentality.)

2. Read Romans 12:2. In light of the fact that we will either be conformed to the world or transformed by Jesus, how should we think about our pursuit of being changed?

3. What are some of the outcomes of seeking to continue becoming a Christian community that’s rooted in Christ, God’s Word, and historic Christianity?

4. What do you think about the difference between being “present” and actually “belonging” to the local church?

5. What are some ways that you’ve been holding back from fully committing yourself to your brothers and sisters at the local church?
